Halloween Happenings

Better late than never! We had such a fun Halloween! Haven was a pink crayon, and looked adorable, if I do say so myself. Saturday night we went with our friends Rachel, her mom Julie, and Haven's little friend Landon to the Zoo Boo in Watertown. We got to walk around the zoo and "trick or treat" at booths set up here and there. Haven was scared of anyone wearing a mask (and as someone who dislikes Halloween, I don't blame her at all!), but usually when she saw one and started screaming, the person wearing it would take it off and all would be okay....she would say, "Yay, all done!". Silly girl. We also got to meet Elmo! Haven has a random and newfound love for Elmo, so that was exciting. I was worried she might be afraid once we got close, but she said hi and we even got a picture. :)

Halloween night we went trick or treating in Arlington with Julie, Rachel & Landon again. We went to the nursing home where they scored a ton of candy! Then the "Trunk or Treat" at the church, and then walked around town for a bit. It was a little chilly, so Haven had on a couple layers, but was able to keep her costume on and be seen and not covered with a coat, since we would walk a bit and then get in the car with Julie to warm up, so it worked perfect! Haven definitely made her mama proud too! We would walk up to the house, she would walk to the door, say "trick or treat!" and always said "thank you!" for her candy. She even said bye and blew some kisses occasionally! Such a sweet girl. What really cracks me up is when she decides she wants some candy now, she comes up to me and says "Treat? Trick or treat!" Such a funny kid!
